Family

The official Luisa Piccarreta Association (https://en.luisapiccarretaofficial.org/) is based in Luisa’s hometown of Corato, Italy. There, Luisa’s home is open to pilgrims and her tomb is located in the Holy Spirit chapel of Santa Maria Grecca church.

Divine Will groups are found in many countries worldwide. The Children of the Divine Will of Luisa Piccarreta, is one of those groups. While we are based in the Archdiocese of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, we are blessed to journey together with Divine Will devotees from around the world. Our monthly Zoom Cenacles are attended by Divine Will learners from various countries.

We would love to hear from you. Please see the Contact Us page to get in touch.

Practices

With Mary and Luisa, we proclaim our “Fiat!”

Jesus: “Now, see how these souls who live in my Will are necessary to Me. Since I have destined them to be like skin to the body of my Church, and like circulation of life for all the members, they will be the ones who will give the proper growth to the members which have not grown; who will heal the wounded members, and who will restore the freshness, the beauty, the splendor of the whole Mystical Body by their continuous living in my Will, rendering it fully similar to my Head, which will sit in full majesty upon all those members. This is why the end of days cannot come if I do not have these souls who live as though dissolved in my Will – they interest Me more than anything.”

Luisa: “My Love – everything in your Will: my little pains, my prayers, my heartbeat, my breathing – all I am and all I can, united to all that You are, so as to give proper growth to the members of the Mystical Body.”

(L. Piccarreta, Book of Heaven, Volume 13, January 11, 1922)

Fused with Jesus and in unity with the August 10, 2024 guidelines of Msgr. Paolo Rizzi, Postulator for the Cause of Luisa Piccarreta, we, the Children of the Divine Will of Luisa Piccarreta:

  • Live a faithful Catholic life in loving obedience to Holy Mother Church, in communion with our local Bishop and the Magisterium under the Pope.
  • Cultivate a fervent desire and commitment to live in God’s Most Holy and Divine Will on earth as it is in heaven.
  • Meditate on the Divine Will writings of the Servant of God Luisa Piccarreta, always in light of Church doctrine.
  • Put the Divine Will writings into practice by living our daily duties in a humble, balanced, charitable, sacrificial, and dignified way, harmoniously and gently inserting them into our families, our workplaces, and our parishes.
  • Do our best to connect with other Divine Will groups who are also following the August 10, 2024 guidelines, and also with the Public Association of the Faithful “Luisa Piccarreta-P.F.D.V.” of Corato, Italy.
  • Imitate Our Lady’s Fiat. Like her, we ask questions and ponder prayerfully to discern what comes from the hand of God and what doesn’t, what we are called to change, and what we are called to give our fiat to (abuse is never God’s plan).
  • Each morning we pray the Prevenient Act and regularly renew our consecration to the Divine Will.
  • Throughout the day, as much as is possible, make our Current (or Actual) Acts in the Divine Will in the name of all, to “let Jesus do” in us and through us all day long, that we may participate in the life of Nazareth.
  • At the end of the day, we review and re-do our day in the Divine Will to make it perfect and complete before God, and then make an examination of conscience and act of contrition.
  • Do the Rounds whenever possible, returning love and thanks to the Triune God in the Divine Will in the name of all for all he has done in the fiats of Creation, Redemption, and Sanctification.

Jesus says this is our task:

Luisa: Now, while He was saying this, I seemed to find myself in Heaven, and as though from one single point, I could see all generations; and prostrating myself before the Supreme Majesty, I took the reciprocal Love of the Divine Persons, their perfect adoration, the ever unique Sanctity of their Will, and I offered them in the name of all as the return of love, adoration, submission and union which every creature should give to her Creator. I wanted to unite Heaven and earth – Creator and creature, that they might embrace and exchange the supreme kiss of the union of their wills.

Then my Jesus added: This is your task – to live in Our midst and to make all that is Ours your own, giving it to Us on behalf of your brothers; so that, drawn by what is Ours, We may be bound to the human generations, and give them the supreme kiss of the union of their wills to Ours, which We gave to man in Creation.”

(L. Piccarreta, Book of Heaven, Volume 16, October 16, 1923)

Prayer based on the text:

Prostrating myself before the Supreme Majesty, I take the reciprocal Love of the Divine Persons, their perfect adoration, the ever-unique Sanctity of their Will, and I offer them in the name of all as the return of love, adoration, submission and union which every creature should give to her Creator. I want to unite Heaven and earth – Creator and creature, that they might embrace and exchange the supreme kiss of the union of their wills.

And from the midst of the Divine Volition, I intend to make all that belongs to the Supreme Majesty my own, giving it to Them on behalf of all souls so that, drawn by what is Theirs, the Divine Persons may be bound to the human generations, and give them the supreme kiss of the union of wills—human to Divine—which the Supreme Majesty gave to man in Creation.

  1. Hello Family! First of all I want to praise and thank God for leading me to this Divine Will group in Edmonton. I believe that The Lord lead me here. Since the pandemic started in 2020, for some reason I was drawn to watch videos on you tube about spiritual warfare and my spirit just thirst for spiritual things. To make long story short, last year I came across Dr. Daniel O’Connor talking about the Divine Will and I felt I need to learn about this. I bought his book Thy Will Be Done and watched video about the Divine Will and I realized that the book that I have which was shared with me by a friend 12 years ago which is the 24 Hour of Our Lord’s Passion was written by Luisa Piccarreta and it is about the Divine Will. I have this thirst in my heart to know more and so now I am here and I am so blessed to be part of this Family. Fiat!

  2. Thanks for posting the daily list of living in the Divine Will. I was searching for priests in Canada who are devoted to the practise of the DW and found your site and Spiritual Advisor. How blessed you are. I live in Kitchener ON and can’t find any local group. Do you know of anyone in our direction? or is there another OCD priest interested in this spirituality? [ there are Indian Carmelites in our city.]
    Blessings to you, Rosemary

    1. Welcome Rosemary! I don’t know of any groups or DW priests in your area. The information on groups is a bit hard to find. That is why, when we received permission to form a group, we were quick to put up a website. We connected with https://www.queenofthedivinewill.org/ as they receive updates from Corato, Luisa’s home diocese and they pass on that information to those who are signed up for updates, individuals or groups. They also have some marvelous teachings by Fr. Celso, Fr. Iannuzzi and the Benedictine Daughters of the Divine Will. I will pass on your question about other OCD priests interested in the DW to Fr. Mario. Fiat!
