Just a glimmer of willingness…
According to this article on Aletia, Pope Leo is calling for a day of prayer and fasting on August 22, the feast of the Queenship of Mary, to implore the Queen of Peace for an end to conflicts.
All God needs is a glimmer of willingness and he will do the rest. Where there is no willingness, he cannot act. So let us pray for that glimmer of willingness wherever there is conflict.
Let us pray…
Fused into you, dear Jesus, in the Order of Grace, by the merits of Our Lady, Queen of Peace, we pray for a glimmer of willingness towards reconciliation and peace in all souls of all time, in families, in society, in the world, but most of all in the Church, uniting East and West.
We offer you, dear Jesus, your own scourging in reparation. With Mary and Luisa, we gather the fragments of your torn flesh and drops of spilled blood and apply them to all souls of all time so that a glimmer of willingness for peace can take root in the softened soil of their hearts.
Taking your longing for peace, and making it our own we pray that the Body of Christ especially would become whole and healthy to fulfill its mission as a holy conduit of the coming of the Kingdom of the Divine Will on Earth as in Heaven. Fiat!
