Canticle of The Divine Will

Dear friends many times in scripture our Lord expresses his deep desire that we would be his people and he would be our God. I felt called to put together a Canticle of the Divine Will modeled on the Canticle of Zechariah (Luke 1:68-79), that expressed this great longing of God.

The canticle depicts the time we are in, but in joyful anticipation of the Third Fiat, the Fiat of Sanctification, when he will be our God and we will be his people.

May it give us hope in these dark times. He is near, and coming to renew the face of the earth! Fiat!

Canticle of the Divine Will

Blessed + be the Lord,
The God of all;
He has come to His people
and redeemed us.

He raised up for us a mighty Savior,
Born of the house of His servant David,

So He could be our God
and we could be His people.

Through His holy prophets He promised of old
That He would save us from the evil one,
From the fowler who seeks to destroy us.

He promised to show mercy to the contrite of heart,
And to remember His original plan
For the children of Adam,

So He could be our God
and we could be His people.

This was the prayer
Our Redeemer gave to His disciples
As prophecy and promise:

Father in heaven…
Thy kingdom come
Thy Will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.

So He could be our God
and we could be His people.

You, Luisa, shall be called
Little Daughter of the Divine Will,
For you will go before the Eucharistic Lord,
To prepare His way,

To give His people knowledge of The Third Fiat,
–The Fiat of Sanctification–
Through the Gift of Living in the Divine Will,

So He can be our God
and we can be His people.

In the tender compassion of our God,
The dawn from on high shall break upon us,

To shine on those who dwell in darkness
And the shadow of death,
And to guide our feet into the Era of Peace.

Then He will be our God
and we will be His people. Fiat!

Come Divine Will!
Come to reign upon the Earth!

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be,
World without end.
Amen. Fiat!
